Ingredients

  • 6-8 pound bone-in turkey breast
  • 1 can cranberry sauce
  • 1 large naval orange juice & zest
  • 1 envelope turkey gravy mix
  • 1 cup white wine
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon EACH smoked paprika garlic powder, poultry seasoning, salt & pepper
  • 1 cup cranberries
  • Fresh herbs optional
  • 2-3 stalks celery
  • 2-3 whole carrots
  • 1 large red onion wedged
  • 4 cloves garlic-peeled
  • 1 stick butter-quartered

Notes

  1. If you prefer to leave the skin on, remove it from the slow-cooker & roast in oven at 350º for 15-20 minutes. Be careful not to overcook or it will become dry.
  2. Use any fresh herbs you’d like — I used oregano, basil & a bay leaf, because it’s what I had on hand. Any will work to add flavor to the turkey.
  3. Save the strained broth to make a yummy soup later!
